Our Communities are not for Sale
Our Mission
Global Grassroots Resistance is a worldwide coalition of advocates, ecologists, and local communities standing against the exploitation of the planet's most fragile ecosystems and cultural landscapes by ultra-luxury developers — chief among them, Discovery Land Company. We expose the greenwashed reality behind private, high-end resorts. We resist the privatization of public land. And we champion every community's right to determine its own ecological and cultural future.
Through local organizing, policy pressure, and global solidarity, we fight to keep nature wild, open, and respected — not bought, sold, and gated.
What We Stand For
Fragile aquifers, native forests, coastal reefs — these exist for their own sake and for the public good, not to be hollowed out for golf courses and private estates. We resist the environmental toll of high-impact mega-resorts wherever they take root.
Ecological Sovereignty
Land carries memory. It carries community. We stand against the displacement of residents, the surge in the cost of living that follows luxury development, and the quiet erasure of local heritage in service of exclusive enclaves.
Cultural & Heritage Preservation
Nature belongs to everyone. Coastlines, mountains, forests, and historic trails should never be sold off piece by piece. Public access to natural spaces isn't a luxury — it's essential.
The Right to the Commons
Change starts from the ground up. From the Highlands of Scotland to the islands of the Bahamas to the peaks of the Rockies, we're building one coalition out of many local fights — because together, we're harder to ignore.
